Irina vs. Kaidan: who has the bigger hero complex?

Kaidan, I’m sure. Irina’s just a living weapon that wants to be perfect. Perfect is impossible, so being the best around will have to suffice. And if saving the galaxy is what qualifies you for the Best Around title, then she’ll do it.

Over the course of the three games she slowly becomes more aware of what noble work she’s doing, but she never really shakes the idea that it was just a job. Just what she needed to do.

A lady never tells…

No, really. Benny’d had one of his colics - he gets them, you know - and ordered Tommy to throw out the last act. Couldn’t stand her. Got sick of redheads, or something. I was already there scrubbing floors and I saw an opportunity, so I asked for an audition.

I was lucky. Benny wanted what I had. And sure, I can sing, but I never underestimate getting lucky.

What was Kostya’s family life like?

Russia is notorious for their cramped two-room apartments. Kostya spent his childhood in one, with his mother, five other boarders, and his younger sister Sveta. His father was a factory worker and pretty much never home, effectively depriving him of a male role model. The crazy old priest downstairs didn’t count.

When Kostya was fourteen, structural failures in the building rendered everyone homeless. They tried to live in the wreck for a while, along with some shelters, but it just wasn’t cutting it. Kostya had to go out and beg, taking five-year-old Sveta with him. One day in 1930, when there was a demonstration, the two were separated - and Kostya never saw his little sister again…

What does Tony dream about? Any nightmares?

Tony dreams a lot about the lights. The ones from the Strip - the ones he was forbidden to admire or visit.

And, yeah, he’s had some flashbacks to the preacher’s beatings. They’re very strange, though. He’ll be reliving a scene when BAM! Suddenly it’ll reset to the same scene, but before the beating starts - and he’ll have an opportunity to try something else. Sometimes it happens three or four times before his dream self finally escapes.

Tell us the whole story of what went down when Tony tracked down Benny.

Well, Tony wanted to forgive him, but more importantly, he wanted to know why. When he barged in, all six-foot-two of his musclebound self, Benny realized he’d crossed the wrong guy. Tony just wanted answers, but the boy’s a lot more intimidating than he takes himself for - and Benny has a complex about guys who are bigger and stronger than him. He was quick to fling every compromise at him he could, just to get those fists as far away from his face as possible.

So eventually Tony milked out of Benny that it’d all been an accident. He told the head of the Chairmen that if he’d leave Tony alone and not mix him up in any of this business, he forgave him.

But Benny, being Benny, sent his henchmen up to kill Tony anyway - wouldn’t want the secret of his failure getting out, would he? But after a loud intercom transmission about I SAID I’D FORGIVE YOU IF YOU LEFT ME ALONE, he seemed to get the message for good.
