“You mean to tell me they sent you waaaay out here…” the King’s eyebrows rose like balloons - “… about the relief effort?”

“That’s it.”

The King tucked his chin and gave him a look.

Sexton fluffed his hair. Nerves. “Guess the brass got sick of my jokes.”

“Well now. Shame you came all this way for nothin’.” The King unfolded his frame, keeping his feet apart. “Anything The Kings can do for you, it’s yours…” he offered his hands like a statue of a saint - “… Long as you tell ‘the brass’ we treated you right.”

“I guess…” Sexton thought - “… maybe one thing.”

The King’s smile quirked. “Hit it.”

“You fellas don’t see much o’ the Legion, do you?”

The King re-crossed his legs, indignant. “Are you kiddin’?!”

“Damn!” Sexton interjected, swiping at the air.

“What?!”

“Just…” Sexton glanced away - “… wanted some ears.”

Tiny headcanon time: It always struck me as odd how similar Swank and Benny can look, so I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that they’re related— half-brothers are my guess. Swank is older.

Dolly grew up singing. It’s just something she did to make the chores go down easier. Turned out she had the talent, and all that work time gave her the practice - so she headed for the Strip, figuring it was a better life than hard-scrabble wasteland living.

The problem was that Torini wrote her a horrible contract, and between that and Benny’s exploitation, she discovered that her dignity and sense of self-preservation were rapidly outweighing her desire to sing. She started taking little within-the-Strip delivery jobs just to get herself away from The Tops, but then they realized she was in a prime position to grab the Chip.

Needless to say, they gave her the job.

“Alright, how about that one,” Ean pointed to a random stranger in the bar, “Out of ten?” She twirled the drink in her hand, eyeing Dahlia next to her, smiling as she awaited her answer.

The singer sneered, “He looks like a four to be honest. I’ve seen fives I wouldn’t even give the time of day.”

“You’re terrible,” Ean took a sip from her drink, “Or hypocritical— didn’t you tell me that Benny was akin to a four?”

“Oh he’s a fink and a half and deserving of a four. When we go to bed though, now that’s a different story.”

 ”Duly noted.”

Alternate scenario: Serena does something adorbs and they both fawn over it.

Alternate scenario: Leslie comes home to find this and screams like a toddler at Disneyland.
